The German war veatel Adler is baally engaged carrying Tamaseie's troops, and towing his boats round the island to a position from which they can attack Malletoa's oamp from the rear. This action has greatly inoensed everybody, as it leaves the municipality open to native attack. Malietoa's troops are extended m line between the mnnlolpallty and the hills, and ere dally be'ng reinforced from all alder. They are, however, reported to be very Bhort of ammunition, of which Tamasese has received large supplies from the Germans. The news of Malletoa'a reported return will no doubt have the effdot of stopping further hostilities,"
