Hobari, Ootober 6. The Council has passed the property tax and absentee tax.
At a meeting of stockowners it was resolved that it is desirable, m consideration of the satisfactory arrangement made by the New Zealand Government tor enforcing quarantine against the Australian colonies on the main land, that at present quarantine be considerably relaxed for cattle imported from New Zealand.
