The entry of draughts comprised seven, the first on the card being J°ttng M»jor. Ttis horse was shown lußt yea.!/ and then gained a good deol of praise, and Mr Dawson again brought him on to the ground m good condition, Mai quls, 3yrs, is a fine upstanding horse, close on 17 hands we should say, and promises to be of great size. Quality Jock, a new arrival In this district, is a very nice o mpaot horse, with a grand ohest, well sprung rib*, and good legs and feet. He la net one of the most missive of horses, but is an active and nice mover. Vanquisher, is looking very well. He has filled out nicely, and Is now a handsome, well-pro-portioned horses though he shows just now • little too much beef. Conqueror Is another very good horse. He has filled out well and has oapltal style of action. Diplomacy has thickened out splendidly m the loins and hindquarters, where, perhaps, he was a little deficient last year, and he now stands one of the be3t horses we have m the distrlot. Auohmore, a recant arrival m this district, is a oapltal quality colt giving every sign of growing lnta a grand horse. There was numerically a poor turn. out of blood horses, Mr G. Appleton's Mac* illeathean, by the English Tim Whiffler, has an undeniably good pedigree, and is » nice symmetrical horse, though perhaps somewhat wanting m substance. Mr W. Kerr's chestnut horse Liverpool by King of Clabs, from Idalis, is another well-bred horse, especially on the dam's side, and he has the advantage of substanoe as well as quality, and looks like a horse certain to get good roadsters and carriage horses, as well as racers if mated for that purpose, Mr 0. Kearns' Wizard, by the same sire aa Liverpool} is a light but clever looking horse, showing decidedly more quality than substance,
Mr Max Friedlander's American bred trottiog slallien Blackwood Abdallah was alone m the. roadster class. His great mmouiar development and grand action .commended him to many owners, and jproperly so, for this is the tight stamp of horse to get useful saddle and caniage lories which are always saleable.
