\ Thd Band of Hope In connection with tbe Wesleyan Sunday Sohool was held In tho Templnr Hall, Tinwald, hat evening There was a very large attendance, the Rev J N. Battle presided In the chair. The Rev Chairman m hla opening remarks made reference to Mr Glover'a recent visit m the district and the letters whloh appeared In the "Guardian," and remarked that there was no need to be ashamed of the oaiife they had espoused, but to al«raya act houorab-y, Biralghtforwardaod fairy, and nevor to lose their self-respeot In dealing whh this matter. He expreasc* a belief that the day would Boon come where the people frould have it In their power to coutrol the Hqnor traffic A very lengthy programme (36 ittrns) consisting of s«ngs, duets, dialogues, reoltatlcnß, readlngr, actioa songs by the children and selections by the choir, wai gone through all belnti plven In a very creditable marnerjaud after several new members had signed the pledge, a very interesting meeting waa brought to a oloae m tho usual wt»y.
