Sir Wm. Jeivola' term expires m January next. He has received intlmitlon that he will not be sieved till March. Government are favorable to his retention for another term, and as soon as a fall Cabinet can be got together the propriety of making representations to the Imperial Government will be considered. It Is understood bis Excellenoy fi not averse to serving a second term.
