Wellington, September 25. Regu'atlc m under which various kinds of stock rn3y be Imported from Great Britain and horacs from America, will be gazetted this week. Stringent precautions are to be taken m tho way of quarantine. Thus everything from Great Britain, with tho exception of borßes most be shipped at London, and ojq only be received at tbe ports of Wellington and Lyttelton, where Soamea Islani and Quail Taland have been selected aa the respective quarantine stations. The periods of quarantine will be as follows : — For horses none;cimela, 120 days ; outlet, sheep, goats and deer, 90 days ; and dogs, six months, Brooch of any of the provisions contained m ihe regulations will render the cffjndor liable to a penalty not exoeedlng £500.
