Stoddart phyed brilliantly m the second spell, though m the first he was considerably off oolor, fumbling very badly. Nolan sad Bumby also did a lot of work, and the cuoning of the former was almost as good as Stoddart'a. In the first spell Richards was very near potting a goal for Canterbury, the ball going past to the side cf the post. The Englishmen scored 4 tries m the first spell aod two m the second, from one of whiob Stoddart kicked a goal, making the visitors' soore 8 points to nothing. Nolan eoored 3 tried, and St&ddart, Kent, and Anderson 1 each
