HORSE MARKET
Mr T. Bullock, reports for the week ending Saturday, September 15th : Twenty-one horses were brought forward for the day's sale. There was a very good attendance of farmers and other country settlers, and biddings for medium draughts were spirited, and for this class of stock there were several buyers who eonld not be supplied. There were no first class draughts entered. Out of the day's entry of 21; 15 were sold at tho following prices, viz :—Medium draught, 6-year-old, rather light, £17 10s; aged, of a good stamp, £14, £14 10s, £153 10a, £16 10s; lighter description, £9, £13 ; 3 year-old, unbroken, £16; 4 year old,, light, broken to plough, £15 ; light harsesß horses, £6 ss, £6 12s 61; hack?, 2 and 3 year-old, unbroken, £4 ss, £7 5s ; 6y«ar-old, broken, of a good stamp, brought £12 10s. Implements, sundries, etc, dray, £11 Bs; do £6 ;D F. plough, by P. and D. Paocan £8 15s; harrows, £3 10s ; eeed s6i?er, £5; old drill, £210s, A quantity of Uftding and shaft harness, horse covers etc., aqjd at full market rates. Grass •eed at Is fid to 2s per bushel, acoording to sample* Land and other properties—Since my last report I have aold by auction and privately the following properties, viz., lots 457 to 474, 475 to 494,_ containing about 9 acres, suburb.of Tinwald, for £270 cash, equal to about £30 per acre. 372 acres 15 perches, part of R S 25108, Dear the Fairneld road, and being about 2 mile* from the Ccunty ssleyards, at £3 17s 6d peraore. R.S. 28752, containing 146 acres, aorner of Mitcham end Gnertsey loads. Upper Aahburton Boad Board District, at £3 5s per acre. B a 27639, containing 100 acres, adjoining the above, £3 6s per acre. T,B. 186. containing £-acre, Havelcck street, AehbortoD, £150. T.B. 173, containing \ acre, corner of Agnes and Archibald streets, Tinwald. with buildings thereon £175 T.Ss 156 and 157, each containing j acre, fronting JttoMurdo street, Tinwald, £12 each.
