The half -yearly sitting of the Supreme Oonrt was held here to- day, before Judge I Williams Tbe:e are four criminal charges against seven persona, three oases of larceny and one of forgery. True bi.ls were found against all tbe accused. James Skinner Gordon, charged with forging the name of Alexander Murdoch to a cheque for £12, and nt.erlng the same, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to two years bard l*b<>nr. Robert Mahone, Henry Monroe, and Thomas Knight were charged with the laroeny of a watoh from the person of Alexander Marshall. The watoh was taken from the owner m open day m one of the principle streets of the town. The jury found Mahone only guilty.
