Meiboubnb, August 25v The ship Diamond, coal laden, from Newcastle to San Francisco, sprang a leak and was beached at Maldon Island, where she became a wreck. The crew have arrived here, A carpenters'. strike is pending here. The men are demanding a decrease of the hours of working.
