COLONISATION SCHEME.

London, AugUßt 24. The Marquis of Lothian, Secretary for Scotland, has requested Mr W. L. Rees to explain his colonisation scheme to a Parliamentary Committee appointed to enquire into the best means of promoting State colonisation, with a view of emigrating crofters to the colonies. Mr W. L. Rees has made a request to the Imperial Government that they should guarantee 3 per cent upon ;£i,000,000 to be raised with a view of assisting colonial colonisation. Lord Knutsford has referred the proposal to Mr Goschen. Mr Rees will shortly commence a series of lectures m England, and is announced to address the British Association at Bath, and the Trades Congress at Bradford.
