SUMMARY OF BUSINESS The afternoon elttlrg was taken up with the disccualon of the proposal of the Government to re-nominate Colonel HaulUn on the Kepresuntation Commission, whioh w»8 rejected pending an adjustment of the representation quota. The Justices > of th ■ Pesse Amendment BUI was passed, and the second reading of the Pabllc Works Amending BUI was agreed to, though the discussion thereon showed pretty conclusively that the mraauro would be emtsculated In Commit o*. The Premier woand op the afternoon with a speeoh on the Harbors' Act Amendment BUI, the second reading of which be was moving. The evening brought an animated debate, in the oourse ef which the Nev^ Plymouth harbor works were the Bubjeot of trdnchapt oritloiem, and the I Premier's proposals for a transfer of liabilities to the shoulders of the taxpayers generally were strongly condemned. The smashing majority of foity-four to sixteen disposed of the meabure. The Premier announced that he proposed to take looal Bills on Friday morninp . The House adjourned at 1.10 o.n> ;
