HORSE MARKET
Mr T. Bullook reports for the week ending Saturday, August 18 :— Nineteen horses were brought forward for the day's sale. There was a very good fcttendanos of farmera and other ooontry settlers, and for the better olasa of horses entered biddings were fairly spirited. 14 oat of the 19 < ffered were sold at the following prices, viz :— Light draughts, 5 and 6-year old, £12, £15 10s, £17 10 respectively ; 3-year old, £15 ; aged, of a fairly good stamp, £6 10s, £8, £10 ss. There were no first olass draughts entered. Hacks, £4. £4 10s, £6 15a, £7 ss, £8, aooordlng to description ; light harness horses, from £4 10a to £6 10s
Sundries — American waggon brought £10 ; a qnantlty of oate, la 9 1 and Is lid per bußhel, according to sample,
