London. August 16. An Australian wheat cargo of August shipment has been sold at 37s 3d. The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show the total reserve m notes and bullion to be and the proportion of reserves to liabilities 40 per cent.
The following private telegram was received m Christchurch on Saturday : 11 The market on Friday for New Zealand wheat stands at 36s per 4961 b, ex warehouse."
