Mr f otter and Mr Minnie gave i recitations m a manner which showed f careful preparation and a good grasp of • thtir subjects. Mr Flower sang m exJ cellent style "Bonnie Mary of Argyle." • Miss Bay executed a violin solo m a very * pleasing manner, and afterwards sang 11 Meet me by Moonlight," m a way that shows careful enunciation as well as ' practice m song. Miss Oliver and Miss 1 Eidd each favored the audience wi( h eoloa, * execnted with ease, and at the same time with much expression. Mr and Miss Ray ' sang a duet, v hich went beautifully, \ "The Midnight Moon." Mias Kidd and t Miss Oliver also delighted the audience j with a very pretty duet, "The Liquid ' Gem." Two quartettes were given " Ob, I that I had Wings like a Dove," by Mrs ■ Blake, Misa M. Meharry, Mr Lamb and t Mr E. Blake," and "He rose from the 1 Dead," as adapted by Dr Bomerville to words frem Sankey's collection, by Mrs i Blake, Miss M. Meharry, Mr Dunn and I the Chairman The latter Beems very i suitable for a quartette and went well 1 Mr Dudu Bang m excellent voice "The J Pilgrim Fathers." The choir gave, with muoh heartiness and precision Nos. 48 aid , 52, from the "Christian Choir." After ; the usual votes of thanks had been , heartily carried, "ilr Dakers sang the con* , oluding pieoe of thg evening very Bweetly, " The land where partings are unknown," and a very pleasant gathering was brought to a clobo.
