THE RIOTS IN FRANCE

Paris, August 8. The strike among the weavers is to be referred to arbitration, and the Parisian Corporation will act as arbitrators.
There has been a renewal of rioting m the city. At the funeral of a leadr ing communist, the mob became so demonstrative that the police were compelled to interfere. The officers were attacked and were compelled to draw their swords and sabres and charge the mob. Order was not restored until the police used their pistols. Thirty persons were wounded m the conflict.
Jt appears that tlyj disturbance rer ferred to m a previous message was caused by the action of inflamed Communist* who were following the funeral of a leading member of that party. While the cortege was passing a police station a bomb was thrown at the building, but fortunately it did not explode. The police made numerous arrests m their sortie on the mob. who cried, " Vive, la Commune, et la Revolution/
