SOUTH CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB.
The annual meeting of this Club was hold on Monday night at Timaru. The report showed that the Spring Meeting lud been moat aucoesriu). The added meney given at the Spring and Autumn Meetings was £1026. The ye»r was started with a debit of £251, whfoh was now reduoed to £71. It was deolded to hold two meetings daring the oomlng BO3BOD, the first to be a two daya' mooting m October (Show week) next. The report and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted. Messrs Jonas, Guinness, Qunn and Smith were ro-eleoted members of the Committee, Mr E Tlraara Rhodes Chairman and Prealdent, Mr F. Tesohe maker Vice President, Mr J. A. Graoie Treasurer. Applications are to be Invited for the post of Secretary, vice Mr J. G. McPheraon resigned.
