The following is the Corn Bxohange report for the week ending Friday, July 20tb, 1888:—

Shipmnts are being. slowly made to the London market, but the scarcity of the tonnage makes but slight impression on our stocks now in store. Freights are well maintained, both English and Inter colonial being eagerly competed for. The weather has been all that could be desired, for seed planting, which is receiving the best attention at the hand sof' our farmers.

Wheat — All parcels comingforward hy rail are well cornpeted for, especially Tuscan, whioh now commands U p td 2s 9_\ for prime parcels for shipment. Pearl has a good local enquiry among millers up to 2s 9d. Hunters is also in good request at 2s 7_d to 2s 8 1. Whole chicken wheat shows an advance, we now quote it 2s SJ, broken varies from la lid to 2s 2d, according to quulity. Oats— A firmer tone prevails. Milling commands up to 2s ; short bright feed, Is 10d to Is lid ; and long descriptions from la 8d to' is 9.1. Barley -Tnia markot ia very qifet and wo do not nntiolpate any Improvement qnjfcjl Bpring when tho malt oommenoss to move off. We reppat our laat week's quotations. Pgan and Bbans are without alterations In values. Grass Seep— A looal demand is springing np and several sales have been made at 2s 9d to 3i for prime michlne dressed, and 2s to 2a 6d for farmers' parcels. Cocksfoot, prime. Is worth 3|d j second quality from 2£d to 31.

PorAtOES— Sales are being nude at £2 at country stations for parcels which can be arranged to suit steamers,

Dairy Produce— Advices from Sydney haye been against holders and a reaction has set In .both as regards butter and cjieebo ; the former Is quiet at 8d to 9J, and oheese .t $1 to 3f 1, dooorcling to s ia and quality, '
