Fat Cattle — A large entry, the quality, although varied, was principally good, one or two exceptionally well g^zed linos of atoera being offered. The demand, though far from brhk, was, perhaps, a shade betltr than (.f late, and values can be aald to be a llttlo, though a very little, batler. S 'me vary prime bullock^ aold at from £7 to £8 5a per head, medium weights £6 to £6 10s. Helfora and fat oowb Bold at frcra £3 10i to £6 10s, boing at from ]5i to 18i or 19j per 1001 b, acaordlng to the quality. fcTORE Catile. — Only a limited entry, and very little erqniry shown, A faw com'ng 3-year-old uteen aold at £3 7s 6d ; little else to quote. Paikt Cattle— Not a large en»ry. A pretty good demand for cows m Immediate profit, of which the oapply was bnt small. No alteration from recent quotations. Fat Hheep — A heavy entry of principally prime quality. The demand dame pretty freely from both local and export buyers, and late values were on the whole weil maintained. The pilmest crossbred wethers sold at from 14i 61 to 16s 63, m one case to 18s 6d per head, halfbred wethera ll«i 6d to 14s, maiden ewes op to 14a 3d, ewes of mixed ages at from 9a 3d to lla 61. Tho valaa of prime mutton ranged from 2£d to 2|d per Ib. second rate 21 to 2£d. f tore Sh«;ep — There waa a large number offering, chiefly good sorts. The demand wbb pretty active, and a fairly good clearance waa made, late values about ruling. Messrs Bennetts Bros. sold a lino of 640 mixed crossbreds at 8i 3i per head, 50 orosabred wethera at 9a 9d, 105 ditto at ds 10d, 53 halfbreda wethera at 7a 6d, 101 croeabred ewes m lamb at 8s 7d, 65 crossbred wethers at 7s Id, 178 crossbred ewea at 8i 6d, 300 aroßßbred mlxod eexea at 8a 7d, etc. Meesra" Ma* son and 00. sold a line ol four- tooths &t 10i 4d, and a line of hoggets at 7a 2i«
Pigs—A larger ontry than of late, ■some very good lines of baoonera being tffored. A good demand wai BQown for all lota, late values being quite maintained, Baooners aold at from 34s to 62a 61 per head, aorae very heavy wnlghts up to 63b. Porkers Bold at from 18s to 31s, being at from 3d to 3J per Ib, aooordlng to suitability of weight and quality, Storffc, of wbloh a good number were yarded, mot with a good enquiry.
