The police have seized a manifesto issued by a Committee of the Mayors of Parisian municipalities condemning .Republican forms of Government and asserting that rndnarchial Government only pan establish a durable Govern^ raent. July 12. General Boulanger has resigned m consequence of the defeat of his motion for the dissolution of the Chamber. Boulanger stands again for tho Department of Lo Nord . In consequence of genernl charges of immorality against the monastic houses m France the Chamber has declared urgent a Bill to suppress all male religious orders.
July 13. The statue erected to the lato Leon Gambetta was inaugurated m tb.6 city to-day. M. Floquet, Tylio received quite an ovation, delivered a eulogy of tho deceased statesman. ; Joly 15. J The Government entertained 2000 Mayors of Municipalities to-dny on $io site for the Exhibition building. M. Carnot, the President, m his speech, warmly eulogised the Republican form of Government, and warned the Mayors not to bo seduced by fallapiou,9 and noipy enterprise.
The French national fete to celebrate the taking of the Baßtile passed off successfully and without disturbance.
