The authorities have decided to proceed criminally against the Petsch Dachaling Company for defrauding the Customs by undervaluing a shipment of pianos. Three men attempted to rob the Bank of Australasia, Collins street this morning, Two of them attracted the attention of the clerks by jostling cus'omers, while a confederate attempted to take some bundles of notes containing from the counter. The attempt was, however, unsuccessful, and upon the plan failing the men decamped. The ship Killochan, from Glasgow to Auckland, was towed into port today dismasted. She reports having experienced terrible weather off Cape Oiway, where, for some time, the vessel was m great danger.
