[The following la a rather faller report than that already published of what took plaoe la the House on Tuesday night owing to the wires working badly] Me Taylor asked the Premier If It wu true the Governor's Salary and Allowances Bill had been vetoed by Her Mvjesty. > The Premier said no. The Government had reoelved adespatoh aiklng if they oould not Bee their way to reconsider tht matter. He might add they did not lea their way. On the motion to go Into committee of Supply, to consider the Imprest of Supply Bill. Mr Seddon moved as an amendment that it la inadvisable the Government ehoald longer delay the appointment of a judge m Judge Johnston's plaoe. The Premier said Mr Seddou'i aotton ' was unprecedented, and It was ncost dU~ graoefal of the Press of the Colony to have written on the subject as they had done. The Government look upon the appointment of a judge as one of the most Important functions the Ministry had to perform, and they did not Intend to be driven, They did not propose to appoint a judge till after the seuion. They had had no offiolal Intimation of Judge John, aton's death, nor, so far as he knew, h«d that gentleman's friends. After a alight dlaousalon the amend* ment was negatived on the voices. In supply, the Imprest Supply BUI for £200,000 was agreed to and authority given for renewlog £700,000 of deficiency Bills. The Premier mentioned that he intended before the end of the seiilon to lntroduoe a measure to ohange the name of these Bills to Exchequer Bills. The House rose at 11,35 p.m.
