(PRR PRESS ASSOCIATION.) L"Ndon, Juno 25. In the House of Commons, Dr Cameron, M.P. for College Division Glasgow, moved for the disestablishment and dißendowmcnt of the Church of Scotland. After discussion the motion was negatived by 262 to 108. Tho " Spectator," reviewing tho result of the Division on Dr Cameron's amendment for the disestablishment of the Scottish Church, says that as tho majority against the motion has decreased by at least one-half since tho previous attempt was made iv the same direction, Mr Gladstone should appeal to tho country on the question.
