I (Pbr Ppkss Association.) I London, June 19. I Messrs Balone, Jacomb and Co. re- ' port 13,000 bales were disposed of at the third series of auctions which opened to-day. A third of the number of bales vas from New Zealand. There was a large attendance of buyers and bidding was excited. Cape and Australian merinos were from par to a higher ; fine crossbreds very firm, but prices unchanged ; coarse sorts were a %& cheaper on the closing rates m May. The total number of bales available is 335,000. The frozen meat by the Ruapehu is being sold at 4j^d.
