Hokitika, June 14 The steamer Kennedy has been washed off the shingle bank into the riyer, and is now moored at the wharf not injured. " Invbeoabgill, April 14. Invercargill has now a temporary water supply at a moasura of 251 b. The reticulation of the town, twenty-four miles, is complete, and arrangements have been made by which the water from a well is thrown into a tank by a pulsometer and gravitates through the streets. It is expected that the permanent pumpg and engines will be erected within three months, when direct pressure will be applied to the mains on the modified Holly system.
