Sydney, June 6. The Military Estimates show an increase of including for permanent sub-marine miners and permanent mounted infantry. In the House, Mr Copeland's motion to impose a moderate import duty 'on agricultural products and articles which can be produced m the colony lapsed, but will probably be again brought forward. The new company formed for the manufacture of explosives has been already registered. The Company will make gunpowder, dynamite, nitroglycerine, blasting powder, gun cotton, cartridges and general ammunition. The factory will probably be erected at Hawkesbury. * In the Supreme Court the case, Hall v Railway Commissioners, a compromise has been arrived at. The claim was for for alleged damage and loss by the plaintiff through breaches of contract m connection with the construction of the Glen InnesTenterfield railway. The terms of the compromise are that the plaintiff shall x receive .
