AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.
Mr Peter Williams (for Meaßra Fried lander BroB.) reports having held a sale yesterday, tho 30-h inst., of Mr Thomas Walsh's farm, live and dead Btock, at Seavlew, *Wakaoul. This farm la oonaldered one of the best In the Wakanul distrlet and thia waß borne out by the price It fetohed yesterday. The farm, consisting of 163 aorea, waa put up first when the bidding started at £}5 and after three bids, whioh brought It up to £17, Mr Peter Stewart and Mr John Gardiner were left to fight It out at one shilling blda, when It fell to the bid of Mr Gardiner at £17 4i 6_, thus showing that good land still holds It own. The Implements were then put up, fetohlng very satisfactory prices, viz. : — 3-leaf harrows, £1 7b 6d to £1 12s 6d ; D.F plough, £9 10a ; single do, £1 17a 6d ; dlao harrowa, £9 15a ; MoSherry drill, 12 ooultera, £6 153 ; dray and frame, £10 3i 6d ; M'Corralok reaper and binder, twine, £18 ; chaffontter, horse-power and Intermediate, £10 10a ; ) atack oat sheaves, £18 ; short oato, la 9£d to Is 10|-d per bushel ; Tuaoan wheat, 2a 6H per buahel; Pearl wheat, 2a 6d per buahel. Horses : Medium draught mares, aged, £14 to £16 10a ; inferior, £5 to £10 ; yearling filly, by Kelvin, £6 10j ; yearling colt, do, £5 7a ; horse covers, lis to 15a ; harnesa at fair ratefl. Cattle : Good milch co>vb, In full profit, £3 to £4 10s ; calves, 16j ; crossbred Inmba, 5s 4d. Taking tho sale aa a whole it may be looked upon as a very satisfactory one showing that the farmers even with the low price of wheat need not despair,
