♦ On Monday, July 23rd the following lands m the Ashburton Oouaty will be reopened for sale at £2 per acre cash, particulars of which are contained m the " Gazette "of May 10th last The application must be made on and after the 23rd July next at the Land Offioep, Christohurch and Timaru. By seotlon 13 of Land Aot Amendment Aot 3887, every application must be accompanied by a deposit of one fifth of the estimated prioe of the land described m the application. The lands are situated on the runs undee mentioned within this county. Mount Hatfc, 940 acres ; Springfield, 134 acres j Alford, 3435 aorea ; part of Mount; Somers. 1050 acres ; Valetta, 4446 acres : Westerfield, 3029 aores ; Hinds, 2360 acres; Weßterfield, 412 acres; Ciearweli, 1440 acres ; Hackthorne, 2796 acres ; Lighmor, 2399 aores ; Maronan, 1828 aores ; Craoroft, 11,706 aorea ; part of Shepherd's Bush, 2876 aores, part of Anama, 1121 acres. There are altogether 64 blooka Inoluded m the above areas, and they range from 2 acre sections up to 11371 aores. There are also areas open at the flame time m Ashley, Selwyn, Geraldine, Mackenzie and Wnlmate counties,
