THE MELBOURNE EXHIBITION.
(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Melboubnb, M»y 10. It is probable that the opening of the Exhibition will be delayed until September. Efforts are being made to have the* armaments of all nations represented. The Indian, China, and Japan Governments have already promised tQ send exhibits. London, May IQ. The collection of pictures for the Melbourne Exhibition consists of 150 oil paintings, ioo water colors, and 200 engravings. Mr J. E. Boehm, R.A., sculptor, will send splendid specimens I of bronze and marble statues, and Mr J. Long sends his picture, " Pharaoh's Daughter." H.R.H. the Prince of Wales inspected the collection of pictures intended for ihe Melbourne Exhibition before they were packed, and expressed himself as highly pleased at the excellence of the collection. A large painting of Mount Cook, New Zealand, will be sent to the Exhibition.
