RABBIT EXTERMINATION

Profoiaor Thomas has not yet been completed hla experiments on rabbit diseases found m the Walrarapa district, bat has ascertained sufficient information to enablo him to forward an interim report to the Government, In one rabbit brought from Wnirarapa he found no less that 500 bladder worma, and the animal had lived for aboot two or three months after developing the disease. Another rabbit which Professor Thomas inooalated with tho disease died at the end of three weeks, The Professor has not the least doubt that other diseases have helped to reduoa the number of rabbits m the Walcarapa district, but he does not oonslder them to be of Buoh a iharaoter that they will sweep off the rabbito wholesale, suddenly. They will, however, keep the rabbits m poor condition, and gradually kill them off.
