Steers aold nt from £5 2a 6d to £6 15s, haifera and fat cowe at from £3 to £4 12a 6d, boing at from 14a to 16s per 1001 b, aocordlng to quality: Store Oattlb— A Bmall entry, and Httle doing. No tranaaotlons worth recording. Dairy Oattlb— A full market, but little business done. Vendora aaklnß more than buyers aro at present Inollned to give. From £6 to £7 10a for very good oowa la about rallng values. Fat Shbep— -A fairly numeroaa entry, quality on the whole, good, m a few oaaea exceptionally bo. The market opened firm and throughout waa only satUfaotory, last weok'a values ruling, viz,: at from l£d to lsi per lb ; very oholoe quality a Dhade more. . Valuea for tho day ranged as followa j heavy weight, prime quality, oroaubred wothera, at from 10a to 13a 9d per head, lighter welghta and mixed wethers and maiden ewoa. at from 8i to 10a ; oroßabred ewea at from 6s to 9s 6d ; merino ewea at 4s to 5s Bd. Storii Shkbp— A good number on offer,, not an average aupply of good aheep, however, The demand continues fairly aotlve, most lines finding purchasers at about late nalea. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Company, sold a line of 230 lenito at 4i 44» on aoo6nnt of Mr W. Molr. M.oßßrs Miles and 00. passed a line of about 1200 merino wetherß In tho wool, while Messrs J^ennotte, Broa. sold on account of various clients, 197 croaabred withers, at la ; 340 merino ewea at U 7d ; 110 aged owes at 2b Gd ; 831 oro^sbred ewea at 4i 61; 350 half-brod ewea and wethers at 5i 3i ; 338 down lamba at 4i 6d.; 364 crosabred ewes at 2a 6d ; 202 mixed owes and wethers at 5j lQd ; 100 down lambi at 4i 6J, and 250 orosabred lambs at 43 Bd. Pios— A fairly fall market, principally baoon pigs. Ourera woro proaont, and a good demand waa ahow,p for all lines ; prlooaranged as followa :—> Prime baoonera are from 42s to 55 \ ; per phoad, light weights 33a to 40a ; porkers are from 21i to 30s per head, balng about 3£d per lb, a Bhade more or a shade loss aocordlng to weights and'qaallty.
