(per press association. ) London, May 7. .Mr T. J. Condon, M.P. for Tipperary East, has been sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment for addressing an unlawful meeting. Rome. May 7His Holiness the Pope has directed Monsignor Persico to obtain the views of the Irish Bishops respecting the [decree. - \ The Convocation of Cardinals is considering what further steps should be taken with regard to Irish affairs. Dublin, May 7. Mr Dillon, speaking at Drogheda, said that if the Pope insists on his decree, the Irish people should inform him that they are capable of managing their own affairs without foreign interference. The priests dissented from Mr Dillon's views.
