ALFORD FOREST.
At the annual election of the School Committee, held at Alford Foreßt on she 23rd inst , the following were elected : — Meßsrs W. T. Obapmon (Chairman for the eleventh time), H. Wright (Treasurer), A McFarlane, P. Tisr.h, fl. Muirheid, J Bowe, aDd B. tvana. At the meeting afterwards, the Board's new Bcale of allowance for incidental expenditure wob ciiacussed, and an it depends now on tho strict average attendance, it was resolved to pat ia forco the compulsory clause of the Act after the next meeting to bo hold on June 2nd.
