ALDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

On Wednesday there were again large entries, both of fat and store ebeep yarded, a moderate number of cattle, and a good Bnpply of pigs. The weather, wet daring the early morning, cleared up, end a fine day resulted, and the attendance of those Jnterosted wan large. Fat Cattlk — k moderate entry, chit fly second and third rate quality, one exception, and almost the only one, being a dr^ft of 15 bollock* from the Peninsula, which were good heavy weights. Competition was fairly good for these ; for all else biddings were dull, and low prlrea ruled. Steers sold at from £4 5a to £6 17a 6d and £7 5a ; heifers and f« cows, from £2 10* to £5 10s per head, belDg at frr-tn 153 to 17s per lOOib, aocordlng to quality.

Store Catttb and Dairy Stock — Tb.3re waa not a large Dumber of store cattle offering, and what there was there seemed no enquiry for, at least vendors and buyers could not agree, and little business resulted. The same remarks apply to thef dairy atook market, except that the entry waß rather a large one, but business was dull m the extreme.

Fat Shefp— A heavy market, a large propirtiou being exceptionally good sheep. Toe market opened fairly strong, and though It fl actuated somewhat, it had on the whole a hardening tendenoy, and a good clearance waa tffsoted. The best quality aheep were a shade dearer than recant markets, second rate quality bliow little or no alteration. Prices ranged as follows : — Priraeat crossbred wethers at from 9b to lla 6 i ; lightar weights 7a to 8a 3d ; crossbred ewea — maiden from 83 to 9), mixed ages from 5 3 to 7s 3d ; merino wethets at from 3a 3d to 7a 6d, befng at from l£d to fully lf-i per lb, according as the quality varied.

Store Sheep— A large entry yarded of all dcßorlptioLP, Beveral lineß of good crossbred ewea belug noticeable, the demand for such being quite on a par with reoant market?, and valaeß being well maintained, viz, from 53 3 i to 6j. A very good clearance of all lines waa mode,

Pigs. — A filrly hsavy entry, and a good dennnd again shown, lute values beiog more thon maintaioed. Porkers cold at from 183 to 30*, heavy weight pigH from 35 1 to 46s 6J, storea from 9i to 16;.
