Sydney, April 9. Cardinal Moran leaves on Bth May on a visit to the Pope, returning on November next. It is intended to organise a Mounted Infantry Corps, under the name of Bush Cavalry, and to disband the Sydney Lancers. Sir Henry Parkes, Premier, m addressing a public meeting at Wagga Wagga, said Government recognised the soundness of the principle of imposing a tax on land, and it was intended to ask Parliament to amend the law m that direction.
