PRINCE ALEXANDER'S SUIT.

Berlin, April 6 Public opinion favors the stand taken by Prince Bismarck against the marriage of Prince Alexander of Battenburg to Princess Victoria. The "Cologne Gazette " appeals to Prince Alexander's patriotism to refrain ♦from pressing his suit.
The " Nord Deutsche Zeitung " states that the betrothal of Prince Alexander and Princess Victoria has been abandoned.
It is stated that the Emperor declined to accept the resignation of Prince Bismarck,
Prince Alexander of Battenburg will arrive here on the 12th inst., and her Majesty Queen Victoria on the 20th.
London, April 6. The "Standard" states, that the Emperor of Germany persists m the betrothal of Prince Alexander.
