Harrowing details continue to arrive of the sufferings and privations endured .by the inhabitants ot the territory affected by the recent floods. It is now stated that fully 75,000 people have been rendered homeless, and property to the value of 400,000,000 marks has been destroyed. Nearly the whole of North Germany has been affected by the disaster.
