A SINGULAR COINCIDENCE. (per press association.) Melbourne, Maroh 30. The Opera House had a narrow escape from being destroyed by fire last night. The hotel adjoiniug the theatre caught fire, but fortunately the flames were extinguished before serious damage was done, although it was not without great trouble that the brigade subdued what at one time looked as if it would result m a serious conflagration.
