Thvee more fatal lift accidents have occurred since the fireman was killed m one at the end of last month.
A Bill to prevent the introduction of disease into the colony for the purpose of rabbit extermination passed through all stages m the House last evening. A serious fire is raging at Forbes, the chief town m the Lachlan district. The principal hotel, post office and other buildings have been burned. The weather throughout the colony is again oppressive, and several damaging bushJireß have occurred.
Silver shares still are quiet, except those m the Broken Hill Proprietary Company's Mine, which are firmly held at about A new. Company is being floated. Presh discoveries are made daily, particularly m the Tuena and Orange districts. Amongst the latter are said to be some valuable deposits of tin.
