The House of Commons has agreed to a motion for the appointment of a Select Committee on Trade, Commerce and Agriculture and Legislative proposals affecting these departments. A
motion proposing the appointment of a committee to whom should be referred all Scotch Bills was rejected on the ground that to set up such a committee would be to virtually (grant Home Rule to Scotland.
