CHRISTCHURCH LOAN.
Tenders for the Christchurch Municipal loan of at 5 per cent, with a minimum of 102 were opened to-day. The tottlj amount tendered was £96,000, the average being >£ioo 15s. The prospectus of a London produce clearing house has been issued. The leading financiers are the prime movers m the affair. The capital is 1,000,000. The "Standard" man article referring to the Company expresses the opinion that it is simply to facilitate gambling m dealing with sugar and coffee.
