Buckley Cove, a spot some mile and a-half south of the South Head Lighthouse, Sydney, was the scene of a terrible accident on February 13. Patriok and Thomas O'Connor, acoompanied by a third man, went there to Bpend a day fishing, to which fishing ground they had to let themselves down rooks a distance of some 250 ft, by means of ropes. The elder O'Connor got down safely, but the rope broke with the younger man when he was some 20ft from the bottom, and turning over m the air be struck heavily on his head and died izutantly.
