THE TORONTO SELF- REAPING AND BINDING MACHINE.

TO THE EDITOR. Fiu, — Kiodly give insertion to the following m connoclion with the above m your valuable journal : — On the 17th iiat. L was ca'led upon to allow the abovo to work m my paddock. I, of course, gladly consented, and not only had tha pleaßure of seeing the machine work, but drove it myeelf . The trial, indeed, to my mind was a remarkable success, and so much was I impressed with tho simplicity, lightnes3 of draught, and several othor advantages m connec tion with it which are likely to bo conducive to my interest, that I pave an order to the * ' Canadian " before ho left the paddock. I might meution that I had 5 ; JMcCormick wire binders working m the same paddock, each of them drawn by throe horses, and bad alao a boy on every machine trimming the sheaves (tho day boing windy) ; and I assert without tho slightest hesitation that the Masaey Twine Binder, drawn by two horses, did far the best and cleanest work . Tho agents for the machiacß are the Messrs Friedlander Bros , who, m my opinion, deserve credit for the introduction of them into thiß Island, notwithstanding so many good makers being represented hero at present ; hut I faolievo they will succeed as they do m other enterprises, resulting not only to their own gain, but the farmers also. 1 am, etc , Daniel Brick. ' Lauriaton, 21st February, 1888.
