There is no visible outlet for the accumulation of waters, and It is believed that by the coming winter they will have risen to the bate of the mountain and find an outlet eithePm the 6asure or rise to saoh a height aV;o again make Tarawera their outlet. In the former case things will be more lively than ever m the mountain aB the contest between fire and water becomes fiercer and fiercer and m time this is pretly certain to lead to another eruption though such would not be likely to be so extensive as tbat recently experienced.
