The Fire Brigades' Association this tfternoon deoided that members entitled to three silver two-year service bars should be entitled to exchange them for one gold bar ; that all medals, except loDg-service medals, moat be worn on the right breaat ; that only teams winning five-men everts shall be debarred frou competing m the consolation events. Toe following offioats were elected :—President : Lieut. Smith (Otiristchuroh) ; Vice-Presidents : Oapt. Sdott(AshburtoD), Capt. Page (Wellington) ; Secretary and TreMorer : Supt. Gilbert (Napier) The 3neitlon of the next meeting-plaoe was •ferred to Thursday. Chrmtchubch, February 21. The weather is iiue for the Fire Brigade eampetition. There are 3000 people present. The start was very late. After two teams had competed m the hose and hydrant competition for 5 men the main bnrst. The teams which competed were : Bunedfn City 55 3- sth sec; Fore Chalmers 71« ec
