tJMSBANE, .February VC% Serious floods are reported from Rockhampton. The country is inundated to a depth of 2oin. Rain fell for twenty-seven hours, and a railway inspector has been drowned. A great hurricane was experienced
with a heavy rainfall 00 the northern coast. The steamer You Yangs, arrived at Townsville with her foremast cut away and her anchors and cables gone. The captain reports haivng encountered the hurricane, also that the steamer Geelong was wrecked on a boulder beach at Long Island. None; of the 1 crew were drowned, ; and there is a
possibility of the steamer being floated. A number of other vessels are over due and anxiety is felt for their, safety*
