Sydney. F braary 16. The Melbourne Tramway Trust have beeo applying here for funds to take the" 1 place of those now on strike. This morning 500 applications were made. Of those iuo were engaged, and the men have been sent to Melbourne, At the Centennial Rifle Competition the cup was won by Mr Page, of the Melbourne Rifles. With the cup the winner takes j£ioo and a gold medal. He scored 206 points out of* possible 345.
