Dr Lindsay said tbat the Cartridge F«o---tory at Mount Eden furnished the hospital with a large number of pa'tienta who were, with a f.w exceptions, litt'e girls twelve or thirteen years of ag , the'r injuries being as a rule crushed 6>g«rs and thumb wounds sustained m wording machinery for tha manufacture of cartridges, and amputation h«d In some case* had to ba resott^d to. The Board deoided to refer the matter to the Inspector of Polioe.
