Adblaid*. Febraary 11. The "South Australian Register" estimates the wheat yield at 9^ bushels per acre, and that 410,000 tons will be available for export, which is double that of the last two years. The 11 Advertiser " computed the yield at 10 bushels. Lord Carnarvon inspected the defence works here, and expressed the utmost satisfaction with them, and stated they compare favorably with those of the British Empire, and are, m some respects, an improvement on those of many English ports. His Lordship also expressed a hope to see a military combination approved of, and a federal review of forces periodicallyheld, the whole to be inspected by Imperial officers. Iv respect to the latter suggestion, the Imperial Defence Commission considered it a most frqpqrtant matter»
