When .0. Libby was eighteen yean old he lived on k his father's farm near Troy, Maine, and was eiofc and lame, One day a sheep buyer bought lambs of his father at 3 do.s a piece. The boy thought that if the buyer oould make money at that he could do better, lor he could buy lambs at 2 duls 50 cants. So he borrowed lOOdola of his father, and limped off un foot buying lambs. In five mouths he cleared SOOdols; and laid the foundation of the big cattle business that has given him tbe title of the "Maine Cattle J£log " His four sons are learning the sal-he business, bn£ tl^ey have fi better start than tfielr father had. "The other day he handed his youngest son, aged fourteen, 1000 dole and sent him to buy stook.
